Yoga is a 3000 year-old practice originating from India promoting health through union of the body, mind, and spirit.  The principles of Yoga Therapy include connection of the breath with the movement of the body, with specific focus on the spine.  As a therapeutic approach to yoga, Yoga Therapy can be used to address physical, mental and emotional issues, including but not limited to: stress, anxiety, depression, scoliosis, back pain, joint problems, injury rehabilitation, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, Multiple Sclerosis, asthma, and women's reproductive health issues ranging from pregnancy to menopause.  In private session, specific yoga postures, breathing, and/or meditation techniques may be recommended to the individual to support their specific needs.
