Nanci Williams, L.M.T.
Nanci Williams has intensely studied multi-cultural and allopathic approaches to health, health-science, wellness, nutrition and exercise since 2001, and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2008. During her studies at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, where she entered with the intention of becoming an acupuncturist and herbalist, she discovered touch therapy via Shiatsu and Tuina massage. These approaches to healing resonated with her in such a way that she decided to focus on massage as her sole health care practice. She graduated from East West College of the Healing Arts in 2008 after completing their 801-hour program, including training in Deep Tissue, Shiatsu and Trigger Point Therapy.
Nanci currently has over 200 hours post-graduate continuing education in the fields of Orthopedic Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Hand/Foot Therapy, Scoliosis Therapy, Acupressure and Meridian Therapy and Neuromuscular Myokinesology Therapies. She also has attentively studied how to tend to our lighter body as well: using a therapy similar to Reiki, but different in approach. She and her clients have successfully worked through and relieved trigger finger, carpal tunnel syndrome, headaches, hip and shoulder joint issues, whiplash, neck/spine/sacrum pain, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, loss of bladder tone, PMS pain, pelvic bowl and hip dysfunctions, Fibromyalgia, Lymphedema, surgery recovery, scar-tissue reduction, tension from Parkinson’s Disease, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, and other nervous system disorders, and face and sinus tension and pain. She has also helped clients become clearer on what is causing “stuckness” in their life by tending to the inter-relation of emotional, physical and energetic issues.
Nanci says:
“I feel there is no greater service in my field than to help change the ‘healthcare’ story as it is currently understood. In my practice, I intend not to just simply treat my patients for the symptoms presented to me, but to educate them in the process of recovery and health as well. I feel it is essential to deepen my patients’ awareness of the mind/body relationship so that they can expand their own sense of potential for well-being. I hold a vision of people living fully in a “mindful” existence: appreciating the connectedness between all of us and the psycho/physical states of being; and knowing how the patterns working in these states play a role is shaping their health and their life. To that end, I give each patient my full attention: listening with my ears, eyes, heart and hands. I share with that person anything I discover. Often my clients actively participate during the bodywork session through their own movements, breath and intention. My process to evoke change is through releasing restrictions, toning or relaxing soft tissues, postural corrections, teaching methods of self care and gentle observation that help one pay attention to all states of being and the patterns within them.”
Nanci uses her hands, medical massage cupping, gua sha, warm bamboo heat, cool stones, and intuition as tools for her trade. She enjoys working in collaboration with Medical Doctors, Naturopathic Physicians, Physical Therapists, and Licensed Acupuncturists. Nanci has a solid referral network of high-quality healthcare providers for her clients if they desire additional support in reaching their health goals. She files Motor Vehicle claims, but does not take medical insurance. She does offer professional grade superbills that clients can submit for insurance reimbursement and/or claim as medical expenses for tax preparation.

What clients are saying about Nanci’s work:
I wanted to tell you how excited I am with the last treatment. My scar has not only flattened and is less obvious, but my interior movement is so much better! I wasn't aware just how much until I was doing my floor exercises yesterday and realized the crunches and side twists came easily for once in my lifetime! I don't have the 'restricted' feeling that held me back from full movement. I thank you for your time and energy on this area. Looking forward to continuing the work.

You are so deeply perceptive and intuitive as you address my every ‘ache and pain.’ You ‘see’ so much as you feel and massage and you have taught me so much about my own body and how to keep it healthy. You are fabulous–amazing–awesome!

Nanci has an amazing touch! She blends her loving energy work with her incredible knowledge of physiology and anatomy. She knows right where to go on the body and how to work out the stiffness, inflammation, and tenderness. She seamlessly incorporates a variety of techniques depending on the need at the time. She has made a dramatic difference for me with lower back pain, hip pain and release of tightness and tenderness in my legs. I am so grateful!

I had chronic headaches for years. My doctor had given me medicines to help, but nothing did help. During my massage with Nanci, I was able to feel the same headache pain even though she was nowhere near my head. After a few long massages, I noticed that my headache pains have not come back. They have not been back now for over 4 months. Per her request, I am now involved in massage and chiropractic work that is helping me in so many ways. Thank you!
