YARLEY NYSTROM, L.M.T.

Yarley Nystrom, L.M.T., has been providing exceptional Massage Therapy in his private practice since 2004. Strong family tradition in health care inspired his journey into the Massage Therapy field, which he began studying at age 16, and has been the fulfillment of a life-long dream. With both an aunt and his step-mother who are massage therapists, and his mother who is a registered nurse, Yarley received expert mentoring in the healing arts from these excellent role models.

Serious soft-tissue injuries received in an auto accident prompted Yarley to seek pain relief and healing through Massage Therapy. With his recovery, and realizing that his experience would help him understand and empathize with his future clients, he began his formal studies of Massage Therapy at Ashmead College in Portland, Oregon. He graduated with honors from their 850-hour Massage Therapy program with a 4.0 grade average, and has been a Licensed Massage Therapist in the State of Oregon since 2004.

While injury rehabilitation and pain management are areas of expertise in his practice, he has a gentle, focused touch, enabling him to tailor your massage to your individual needs. Modalities he uses include Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, PNF, Reiki, Polarity Therapy, Swedish, stretching, hydrotherapy, gait analysis, and postural assessment. His goal is to return each client to a state of homeostasis, balance, and vibrant, pain-free living!

Yarley also enjoys singing lead vocals and playing guitar with the Portland-based funk-fusion band Sauce Policy, listening to music, and doing yoga.

Yarley accepts and bills insurance which covers Massage Therapy, including PIP insurance for Auto Accidents, and will coordinate care with your other health care providers for accident and injury rehabilitation.
