CLINTON RANDY THOMAS, A.S.T., M.Ac.O.M., L.Ac.
Clinton Randy Thomas, AST, MACOM, L.Ac., graduated from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine with a Master’s Degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture in 2000. Randy’s interest in health care began when he trained as a Nursing Assistant, working in cardiology for several years. In 1980, he completed his training as a Surgical Technologist, and continues working in that capacity in a local hospital. For many years, Randy trained in Eastern martial arts, exposing him to Asian philosophy. This became a leading factor in his decision to study and practice Oriental Medicine. Randy’s experience in—and knowledge of—both Western and Eastern medicine creates a balance that is unique in his practice.
One of the main philosophies in Chinese Medicine is that health is achieved through balance. Randy focuses his practice philosophy on restoring and maintaining balance for each patient, helping to strengthen their immune system, foster wellness, and relieve pain.
On your first visit, Randy spends time conducting an initial interview with you that includes a thorough medical history, any physical exams that may be necessary, an extensive Chinese Medicine interview, and an acupuncture treatment. Follow-up visits will hone your treatment to achieve optimal outcomes for your health care goals.
Randy may use Acupuncture, Electro-Acupuncture, Tan Balance System, Oriental Herbal Medicine, Diet Therapy, Shiatsu and Tui Na Massage, Cupping, Gua-sha, Moxibustion, infra-red heat treatments, Jin Shin Do Acupressure, Qi Gong, and Tai Qi in his treatments with patients.
Areas of specialization include:
Acute Pain: Any new injury, back pain, neck pain, auto accident injury, post surgical pain, sports injury, trauma of any kind.

By incorporating regular treatment, many patients find their energy balanced and their organs and immune system strong: helping them lead healthy, long lives. Working with the goal of keeping your body healthy, achieving optimal balance for you, and assisting you to remain strong, in order to avoid illness, are all goals Randy strives to achieve with each patient.
Randy spends his personal time hiking the many trails that Oregon has to offer, visiting the Oregon coast as often as possible, maintaining his personal yoga and meditation practice, and spending time with his 3 daughters and granddaughter.
