MASSAGE THERAPY: REIKI
Reiki (pronounced “Ray-Key”) is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also enhances the body’s natural ability to heal. Addressing chronic and acute conditions, Reiki gently and powerfully promotes the balance and flow of Qi (vital life force energy) promoting balance among all of the body’s systems and the regenerative processes of the body, mind and spirit.
During a Reiki therapy session, the patient remains fully clothed and the practitioner’s hands are placed near or lightly touching the body, including areas of the head, shoulders, arms, legs, feet and torso. Sessions can last from 30 minutes to several hours depending upon time available and treatment protocol.
Working with the subtle systems of the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body, Reiki is enjoyable, relaxing, and rejuvenating for those of all ages. Creating balance and integration with regular Reiki therapy sessions promotes natural healing and increased feelings of overall well-being.
