DAIVATI BHARADVAJ, N.D.
Daivati Bharadvaj, N.D., graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2003, and previously from Cornell University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nutritional Sciences. After successfully completing a residency in Naturopathic Family Medicine, she continues her primary care practice as a natural health family doctor at Alive & Well Healing Arts, PC. Her specialties include treating people with chronic fatigue and pain disorders, heart disease and high blood pressure, diabetes, thyroid disease, obesity and digestive upset, and womens reproductive healthcare (endometriosis, PMS, menstrual cramps, bioidentical hormone replacement, birth control, fertility regulation and enhancement, breast disease, and annual exams). As a primary care physician, she can order and review laboratory tests and imaging studies, perform regular screening exams and physicals, and prescribe nature-based medications when necessary.
She artfully combines scientific research with the healing powers of nature, using therapies that support and promote the body's natural healing process, leading to the highest state of wellness.
Dr. Daivati seeks to address the underlying cause of disease through effective, individualized natural therapies that integrate the healing powers of body, mind and spirit. She collaborates with each individual in choosing nourishing diets and balanced lifestyles. For rapid and effective nutrition, she also offers intravenous (IV) nutrient therapy to give people a real boost in energy and immune health! Rather than practice "recipe book" medical protocols, she thoughtfully prepares each botanical formula for each individual based on needs and constitution type. And she strives to use ethically-harvested, pesticide-free Western and Asian herbs as much as possible.
In addition to foods and herbs, Dr. Daivati offers hands-on healing in the forms of deep tissue massage and Orthobionomy, therapeutic spinal manipulation, and hydrotherapy. Her strengths as a classical Homeopathic practitioner enable her to prescribe small doses of medicines for achieving deep and powerful mental/emotional balancing. She has a sincere passion for Ayurveda, a 5000 year-old medical practice originating in India, and she integrates its teachings, values, and principles into everyday life, personally and professionally.
Born in India and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Daivati upholds her cultural heritage through classical Indian dance and music while embracing the free American spirit. She speaks near-fluent Gujarati and some Hindi, and loves cooking authentic healthful Indian cuisine! Her journey into natural medicine started with observing her physician uncle serve his patients with dignity and kindness. Growing up in a traditional family taught her the value of growing fresh herbs and vegetables in an organic garden, eating home-cooked meals with loved ones, and preventing and treating illness with natural Ayurvedic remedies. Since the passing of her uncle, and with the blessings and inspiration of her teachers, Dr. Daivati hopes to serve her patients with integrity, compassion, humor, and the healing way of nature.
